Something that sounds quite simple is in fact revolutionary for all who dream of virtually flying through the mountains with intoxicating ease – smoothly, swiftly and with consummate style. The material that Jacomet is talking about is granite. He is the first ski designer in the world to incorporate this material into the slats that can be at the heart of our winter world. They form the core of his ski, encased in carbon fibre. This sounds like quite some weight, but in reality, the granite provides cushioning and incredible new lightness. The surfaces are made from an equally smart material: cellulose acetate. This is also a new material, but offers strength, flexibility and a gleaming matt sheen. As smooth as it is, this ski delivers su- preme performance – even in the most challenging conditions. Was so einfach klingt, bedeutet eine Revolution für alle, die davon träumen, mit berauschender Leichtigkeit durch die Berge fast zu fliegen, lei- se, schwungvoll und schnell. Das Material, von dem Jacomet spricht, ist Granit. Er ist weltweit der erste Ski-Entwickler, der es in die Bretter eingebaut hat, die unsere persönliche Winterwelt bedeuten können. Sie bilden den Kern, ummantelt von Carbon. Das klingt nach einigem Gewicht, aber in Wirklichkeit dämpft der Granit und sorgt für eine unglaubliche neue Unbeschwert- heit. Die Oberflächen sind aus einem ebenso smarten Material: Acetat. Auch dies ganz neu, aber stark, flexibel und glänzend matt. Geschmeidig wie es ist, lässt sich damit unter schwierigs- ten Bedingungen wunderbar fahren.
